Gilleasbuig salutes - cearcaill na gàidhlig

The initiative which has done so much to make Gaelic tourism what it is today

Scene: a certain taigh-òsda in deepest Kintail

Gilleasbuig: (a’ mothachadh do logo cearcaill na gàidhlig an-àrd aig doras a’ bhàir)

I see you’re part of the cearcaill na gàidhlig scheme?

Ban-òsdair:
The what?

G:
Cearcaill na gàidhlig - the Gaelic Circles. What does that involve, again?

Ban-òsdair:
… the Gaelic Circles … erm … oh yes, [vaguely] that’s been up there for yonks … [moves away]

Ask for the renowned Gaelic hospitality when you see this

Co-dhùnadh 'Illeasbuig:
Hoorah for cearcaill na gàidhlig, the all lower-case initiative which is  "… all about helping to illuminate Scotland’s Gaelic past and help [sic] to further Gaelic’s future development as a fundamental cornerstone of Scotland’s heritage", it says here ...
Remember folks, cearcaill na gàidhlig - the phenomenon that is "highlighting the important role Gaelic has played in Scotland’s past and more importantly, its relevance in today’s modern world".
And of course - helping "to further Gaelic’s future development as a fundamental cornerstone of Scotland’s heritage". Oh yes!

Iadsan dham bu chòir sinn breith-bhuidheachas a thoirt airson cearcaill na gàidhlig

Tillidh Gilleasbuig a dh'aithghearr, na chlach-stèidh bhunaiteach ann an dualchas na h-Alba.  Tha Gilleasbuig gu mòr dhen bharail, cuide ri Fèisism nan Gàidheal, gun urrainn do bhlogadaireachd seirbheis ùr a thairgse do na h-ùghdarrasan ionadail son cur ri na leasachaidhean a tha san amharc aca tron Churraicealam airson Sàr-mhathais ann am foghlam Gàidhlig, Eòlas na h-Alba agus rùn an Riaghaltais cothrom a thoirt do dh’òigridh an Alba barrachd chànanan ionnsachadh.
